HAVING MORE S*X COULD MAKE YOU RICHER?

YES, YOU READ THAT RIGHT.

Hey JOLTers…

What if we told you that your sex life doesn’t just shape how connected you feel to your partner, but quietly messes with your motivation, confidence and even how switched on you feel at work every single day?

Yep, sh*gging is doing a lot more heavy lifting than you thought.

It sounds provocative (and maybe a bit “sureeee”) but emerging research suggests the link between intimacy and success goes way beyond just how impressive the orgasm was.

A recent study from the London School of Economics explored the relationship between emotional connection, physical intimacy, stress levels, and overall productivity, and uncovered a pretty eye-opening pattern that links what happens in our personal lives (and under the duvet) to how we show up professionally.

So what exactly did they find in this saucy little study?

They discovered that couples who reported higher levels of physical intimacy also tended to have lower baseline stress, more stable moods, and a stronger sense of daily motivation, all of which just so happen to be things your boss really likes.

It’s not saying that doubling your sh*g count will immediately land you that promotion you’ve been manifesting, but it does highlight how consistent emotional and physical connection can create the internal conditions that set you on the right path!

When stress is lower and emotional needs are met, people are better equipped to concentrate, take risks, communicate clearly and chase goals with energy instead of pure burnout, which yes, we can absolutely credit the sh*gging for.

Physical intimacy plays a powerful role in regulating hormones linked to wellbeing, including oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin, which work together to calm anxiety, deepen emotional bonds, and boost feelings of safety and confidence.

When those systems are ticking along nicely, people often feel more grounded, more capable, and more motivated to take action in other areas of life, whether that’s smashing a big project or just replying to emails without wanting to scream.

It all adds up…

Over time, those small but meaningful daily shifts can stack up, leading to better productivity, stronger career progression, and yes, maybe even a healthier bank balance.

Intimacy isn’t a luxury or a “nice to have” treat, it’s a biological driver of wellbeing that influences how we age, perform and connect, both personally and professionally.

When your body feels energised, your hormones are supported, and your relationship feels alive, the ripple effects can reach everything from your mental health to your motivation and long-term success (including how much money is actually landing in your pocket).

Who knew?

Sometimes, the smartest investment you can make really does start in the bedroom 😏
